Amora is operated by Riley Tonkin ("we", "us", "our"). We are responsible for the personal data we collect and process in connection with the App. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at hi@tryamora.app.
We collect information in three main ways: information you provide, information we automatically collect, and information from your partner or third parties.
Because the App is designed for romantic relationships, some content may be personal or sensitive in nature; you choose what to share. We encourage you not to share information that you are not comfortable storing digitally.
Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), our legal bases include performance of contract, legitimate interest, consent (for certain optional features) and compliance with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:
These providers are authorised to use your data only as needed to provide services to us.
Apple and other platform providers process your in-app purchases according to their own terms and privacy policies. We receive limited subscription and transaction information to manage access.
When you link with a partner, certain data is shared between you within the App only, such as: daily question answers and completion status; stories you choose to share; your profile image/avatar and relationship-related badges.
We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to: comply with legal obligations or lawful requests; protect the safety, rights or property of our users, the public or Riley Tonkin; detect, prevent or address fraud, security or technical issues.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we take steps to protect your information, such as using standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms for international transfers.
We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to: provide the App and associated services; maintain your account and subscription; comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data, except where we are legally required or have a legitimate interest to retain some information (for example, transaction records for tax and compliance).
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for choosing a strong password (if applicable) and keeping your login credentials secret.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
To exercise your rights, contact us at hi@tryamora.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
Within the App, we aim to provide self-service options such as: updating your profile information; disconnecting from a partner; deleting your account (which will remove or anonymise your associated content, subject to legal retention requirements).
Amora is not intended for children under 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data in violation of this Policy, please contact us at hi@tryamora.app and we will take appropriate steps to delete such data.
If we use cookies or similar technologies (for example, in a web version of Amora), we do so to: remember your preferences; improve performance; understand usage patterns. Where required by law, we will request your consent before using non-essential cookies.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and may notify you through the App or other means. Your continued use of Amora after the updated Policy takes effect indicates that you have read and understood the changes.
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact:
